The origin of Speakcheesy
With the successful build-out of our 40-foot bus and the expansion into a wholesale business supplying markets and restaurants, Speakcheesy has truly become a staple in the Atlanta food scene. Today, Chef Hill and her partner Benjamin continue to innovate and expand. We’ve added two daily school catering contracts and host seasonal pop-ups from our Candler Park wholesale kitchen, offering exclusive menus and provisions that showcase our latest creations. On weekends and for private bookings, you can still catch the Speakcheesy food truck at festivals and events throughout Georgia, Eastern Alabama, and Southeastern Tennessee.
Founded in 2014 by Chef Hill and her two best friends, Speakcheesy has been a beloved food truck for years. Over the past decade, we’ve grown from a small mobile kitchen to a thriving business, recently celebrating our 10-year anniversary.
This past summer, we also launched our Speakcheesy merch and clothing brand, bringing our love for cheese and cheese puns into fashion. But our impact goes beyond just serving delicious food.
Chef Hill teaches monthly cooking classes for kids aged 18 months to 6 years old, providing young children with hands-on culinary experiences. We also offer rotating internships, where aspiring chefs and entrepreneurs can shadow us to gain valuable culinary and business skills.
Additionally, we host workshops designed to inspire and empower others to start their own micro and small businesses. Our commitment to the community extends through our work with numerous non-profits, giving back and making a positive difference wherever we go.
While our roots are in Rome, Georgia, we proudly service all of Georgia and the City of Atlanta, attending music festivals, independent artisan markets, and fall markets across the state, as well as in Eastern and Central Alabama and Southern Tennessee.
